The Leaside Memorial Arena project consisted of the addition of a new arena and renovations to the existing arena facility while the balance of the recreational facilities remained occupied throughout construction. Finishes included a rubberized skate floor, ceramic tiles, glazing, resilient flooring and carpeting. During the foundation stages, Aquicon Construction completed the underpinning of the existing structure.

“Aquicon approached this assignment with an excellent organization, including an especially talented and capable site superintendent, dedicated project management and office support, and personal involvement from senior management with a number of issues, all of which were effectively resolved. I was very impressed with Aquicon’s efforts and activity, and pleased with the result.”

Sustainable features included a “Green Roof”, electrical power and lighting systems, and an energy efficient mechanical and ice plant system.
