Project Manager

Aquicon is currently looking for a qualified Project Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. Based out of Aquicon’s Brampton head office, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring successful execution from pre-construction to close-out. This role requires extensive coordination with senior management, site managers, project coordinators, clients, consultants, sub-trades, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery
• Coordinate and lead meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to track project progress and address any issues;
• Review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation;
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards;
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or cost overruns;
• Oversee project close-out, including final inspections, deficiency corrections, and submission of close-out documents;
• Other duties as requested.

Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of construction principles, practices, and techniques;
• Previous experience as a Project Manager or similar in the construction industry;
• Experience with Procore and Jonas software considered an asset;
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and cost control;
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines;

Assistant Site Superintendent

Aquicon is currently looking for qualified full-time Assistant Site Superintendents to join our growing team to manage construction projects throughout the GTA and Central Ontario. Working on institutional and infrastructure projects, the incumbent will assist the project's Site Superintendent with:


• Taking charge of all on-site construction activities on a daily basis and work closely with Project Managers and Field Engineers to deliver the construction works.
• Monitoring work performance and efficiency of site work force to ensure project plans and schedule are followed such that the project is executed efficiently and safely.
• Preparing schedule reports outlining progress of activities underway and identifying activities anticipated to commence and/or be complete in a two-week look ahead period.
• Assuring construction compliance with design requirements.
• Supervising and coordinating field engineering and construction activities.
• Ensuring project materials and workmanship meet the project quality standards.
• Ensuring the implementation of Aquicon’s safety program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite and adhering to the safety and record keeping requirements.

A passion for construction and past project experience are a must-have. Candidates with similar project experience will be given preference.
