Our Company

Founded on Lifelong Bonds

Aquicon is unlike any other construction company

We believe relationships make all the difference. We work with highly talented design consultants and sub-trades over years, decades, even generations. Our staff spend entire careers with us, passing knowledge down the line as they rise. And our most senior people are personally involved in every project we take on, supporting both their colleagues and their clients.

What this means for you is a methodically planned, well-coordinated project that draws upon a wealth of shared knowledge to ensure success. It means that your build is performed by trades and consultants who are fully engaged and motivated. It means that nothing escapes our attention, and our top talent can always be reached.

Our History

The Aquino brothers were already experienced general contractors when they struck out on their own in 1986. The company they founded, Aquicon, started small, building local schools while they developed strong relationships among the sub-trades and earned a reputation for excellence.

Aquicon has grown exponentially since those early days, and now serves an array of sectors including recreation centres, multi-storey residential facilities, operation centres and post-secondary institutions. Our structure has evolved into a single-ownership business, but the Aquino family remains at its head. While the scale of our average project has soared, we have made it a point of pride to retain the same hand-on approach from our earliest days to the present.

Our Leadership Team

Aquicon started out as a family business, and while the team is much larger than it once was, we work hard to maintain a company structure where knowledge is shared and nobody is too important to be contactable.

At Aquicon, we are firm believers in promoting from within. By identifying and grooming potential leaders, we ensure smooth successions and are able to retain our wealth of institutional knowledge. Our extremely low turnover rate, and the personal bonds formed over years of working together, make us a stronger, more effective team.
