The new 6-bay fire station was planned to allow for future growth in Newcastle, Ontario. The approximately 12,400 square foot facility also houses the municipal Emergency Operations Facility to be used in the event of a major emergency, as well as 2 pumper trucks, an aerial device along with a tanker. Using a stipulated-sum method of delivery, the project was successfully completed on time and on budget by Aquicon. The new station replaces an older station that was an old car dealer garage from the early 50’s and was converted into a fire station around 1974-75.
