The Ridley College Iggulden Building and Athletic Complex renovation and expansion involved the comprehensive renewal of two major campus facilities, transforming existing academic and athletic spaces into modern, high-functioning environments that better support student life. The project included the renovation and expansion of the Iggulden Building, formerly home to the school’s pool, gym, and squash courts, into a new creative and academic hub featuring a creative common, art gallery, music commons, and learning commons. In parallel, the existing Athletics Complex and Fieldhouse were extensively renovated and expanded to include a three-court hardwood gymnasium, squash courts, a yoga studio, fitness centre, and team change rooms. 

A key complexity of the project was delivering extensive construction within an active school environment while minimizing disruption to day-to-day campus operations. Aquicon worked in close coordination with Ridley College’s faculty and management team to carefully plan scheduling, logistics, and access around ongoing school activities. Construction areas were fully separated from student spaces through clear signage, physical barriers, and designated pathways, supported by a robust health and safety plan and ongoing communication with the school community.

The completed project provides Ridley College with renewed academic, arts, and athletic facilities that bring together a wide range of student programming within updated and expanded campus buildings.
