Work on the Whitby Community Police Office involved the construction of a new 38,000 square foot facility consisting of a finished basement, a reception area, and a holding cell on the main floor. The basement served purpose for the office’s traffic division, while the building’s second floor was built for a restricted intelligence area and highly sensitive divisions such as espionage, a Prime Minister protection unit, and a gang related and undercover unit. The building also equipped its own vehicle wash and bays.
